Start the week with some delicious cornstarch alfajorcitos

Ingredients

  • 150 g cornstarch
  • 100 g flour 0000 #Morixe
  • 80 g of sugar
  • 100 g of butter
  • 2 yolks
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • Vanilla essence
  • Caramel sauce
  • Grated coconut

Preparation 🥄
  1. In a bowl, place the butter (at room temperature), the sugar and a splash of vanilla essence, and mix. The mixture will be like an ointment.
  2. Add 2 egg yolks, and beat again.
  3. We incorporate the flour and our main character, the cornstarch. It is best to sift before.
  4. We add baking powder.
  5. Mix everything until there is a very homogeneous dough. Let stand on the counter for 15mins
  6. Place plastic wrap on the counter, place the dough on top, and then another layer of plastic wrap.
  7. Now we proceed to crush and stretch our dough. You can use your hands or a rolling pin, until it is quite flat.
  8. We remove the layer of film from above, and proceed to cut the dough with a round mold. (The size is your choice)
  9. Once the caps are cut, place in a suitable ovenproof dish. While the oven is heating, place the lids in the refrigerator for a few minutes.
  10. Once this time has passed, we take them to the oven at 180 °
  11. Once golden brown, remove them and let cool. Place dulce de leche on a lid and place another on top, then sprinkle grated coconut on the edges. Now they are ready to eat!
