Homemade churros

Today these spectacular homemade churros!

Easy and fast 🙌🏽

Ingredients:

  • 250 gr of Wheat Flour 0000 #morixe
  • 250 ml of water
  • A pinch of salt
  • Oil for frying, Extra Virgin Olive #Morixe or sunflower (your choice)
  • Sugar for dusting (optional)
  • Dulce de leche to fill or bathe (optional)

Preparation 🧑🏼‍🍳
  1. Place a saucepan with the water and salt to boil.
  2. Once boiled, mix with the 0000 flour, until the water is completely integrated with the flour. We will have a very sticky and quite compact mixture.
  3. Place the dough in a pastry bag or a churrera. This step is important, since all the air is removed from the dough, and thus it is possible to fry correctly.
  4. Allow the churros portions to rest for a few minutes with the raw dough, before placing them in the pan.
  5. Place a frying pan with the oil on the fire, wait until it is very hot, and then place the portions of dough.
  6. Cook over medium heat, to prevent the churros from being raw inside.
  7. Remove when they are golden brown and place them on kitchen paper to absorb the excess oil.
  8. We serve by sprinkling them with sugar.
